HISTORY
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF OUR HOTEL RÖSSLI

The hotel Rössli is owned and operated by the Admirat Family. 1979 Jean-Louis & Hanny Admirat-Seiler purchased the Hotel-Restaurant property in the historical part
of the town of Unterseen.
The documents, concerning the property only date back to 1872. All the previous documents were lost in the fire that destroyed the building known then as “Herberge zum Sternen” (Hostel of Stars). The foundation of this building suggests, that it was built several hundred years ago.
After reconstructing, this beautiful building served several different purposes. In the last century, it was used to shelter the poor and families in need. The costs were covered by the involved townships.
In, and around the early building were a workshop and storage unit, a pig stall and even a bakery.
In the 20th century the hotel changed hands several times. It is the first time in its history, that the hotel Rössli got passed over to the second generation.
